Four names of God, four cast members of The Chosen: Luke Dimyan (Judas) delivers Emmanuel, Lara Silva (Eden) delivers Jehovah Shalom, Giavani Cairo (Thaddeus) delivers Adonai El-Roi, and Austin Reed Alleman (Nathanael) delivers Jehovah Raah. The four monologues came from Christmas With The Chosen: The Messengers, and they’re still the part of that special people bring up first.

The Names of God
What’s in a name? Some would argue a name is just that, a series of syllables strung together. Others would say it’s a way of identifying a person or a way of categorizing things to make it easier for us to classify them.
But the name of God is something entirely different, or at least it should be regarded as such. It is a name above all other names, a phrase that is so holy that the very rocks will cry out if we remain silent. In fact, the Jewish people took His name so seriously that they would rather use descriptive terms to identify the various aspects of God rather than accidentally say His name without reverence.
In The Chosen monologues, four various names of God are spoken and described then backed up with a story or a thought so real it springs forth renewed beauty and hope from words that pale in comparison to how awesome our God really is.
There’s a human rawness to the questions and thoughts sprinkled throughout the monologues that resonates so profoundly to the longings of the human heart as we wrestle to understand God.
Many people found these monologues to be the most impactful part of The Christmas Special and we agree:
“These monologues were definitely the highlight of the Christmas special for me. Even watching them again now the Spirit is ministering to me. Thank you @The Chosen for following the Spirit’s leading in everything you have done. Your team is in my prayers. God bless.”
